Advert Recipe.
The word "advertising" means different things to different
people. There are countless definitions for the word
"advertising." I will like to apologize to all numerous authors
if they did not see their definition in this article. (Please
kindly accept my sincere apology from the bottom of my heart.)
For simplicity and better understanding I will like to state
here that the word "advertising" simply means to "to make known
something--products, services, concepts-- and to persuade people
to ...

An Intro to Managed Services
The Perfect Storm Managed service overview
Why now? There are many reasons the move to managed service is
now a must for service providers. Your clients not so long ago
may have thought of managed services as a nice thing to have and
not a necessity but now with all the government regulations
starting to not only come into place but also be enforced your
clients backs are up against the wall and they need tools in
place to satisfy these needs.
Can you say to your client that you are 100% ...

Print Ads - Alive and Still Selling to Readers Near You
The print ad is not dead. Although some people will tell you
otherwise. If they do, they're wrong. In 2003 advertisers spent
nearly $60 billion to place ads in magazines and newspapers '
more than five times the amount spent on Internet advertising in
the same year. And if that's not confirmation that the print ad
is alive and still selling, I don't know what is.
So how come many business owners shy away from print
advertising? Part of the problem is that they mistakenly believe
people don't ...

1) Your Links are Embedded in JavaScript. If your links are
embedded in JavaScript, most of the search engines will not

Small ads 'as sound as a pound'
/p>
Here are some tips on how to write small ads that are 'as sound
as a pound'.
First, satisfy yourself that the goods, services or unwanted
possessions you are about to advertise are legal and decent. You
should be their legal owner with rights of disposal. Further,
you must realise that, if you try to advertise anything
indecent, upstanding publishers will reject your ads and
probably keep any fee. That's the 'heavy' stuff out of the
way!
Now establish your contact details. Consider ...

How to Survive Killer A.I.D.S. On the Internet
No apology for writing this ... it is an imperative duty under

if a beginning is made it is there that most care is needed.
Everything is inherent in a genesis. So I will record the simple
genesis of this affair as a modern day observation of life as it

Advertising, or paying good money to get your message in front

If you're going to advertise, you need to be smart about it --

Humor in Advertising
Many of the most memorable ad campaigns around tend to be funny.
Advertisers use this strategy to attract customers to their
product. Audiences like to be entertained, but not pitched.
People will pay more attention to a humorous commercial than a
factual or serious one, opening themselves up to be influenced.
The key to funny advertising is assuring the humor is
appropriate to both product and customer. The balance between
funny and obnoxious can often be delicate; and a marketer must

The Internet has now become an official advertising medium. It
is so commonplace on the web that virtually every page has an ad

While it is a good way to earn some extra cash while running a

and which do not. Sometimes, some advertising tricks can

Search engines-To pay or not no pay?
While the Web is still a great place for free advertising and
promotion, there are some times that you simply have to put

Internet is meant to be FREE. Why should we have to pay to be

money. The search engine's money. As in payroll, rent, servers,
insurance, computers and so on. Do the math. Assume it takes
even as little as 3 minutes to process a site submission. ...

human emotions.
One such, was the emotional need for safety and security, which

Internet Millionaire Reveals Secret to Getting Tons of Free
What does Internet millionaire Howard Moreland know that the
rest of us don't?
Howard says he wasted 21 years and $4.4 million paying for
advertising that he could have gotten for free. And that meant
throwing away lots and lots of profits. But now he says he's
"uncovered the best kept secret to advertising most effectively
and for free."
And it's a secret that Howard says has made him $1.7 million in
less than 9 short months ... and over $14,270 in a recent 5½

Building Community Websites = Success Online: By: Martin Lemieux

The Path To Your Prospect's Wallet Begins At His Heart
You want your prospect to make the decision to buy your product
or service. So you show him what you have to offer in your sales
letter, web page, ad or commercial. You lay out the facts, and
he comes to a rational decision based on them. Right?
Wrong.
People buy things based on emotion. And if you're not connecting
emotionally with them, they aren't going to buy from you. It's
that simple. In fact, studies have shown that people with
injuries to the area of the brain that controls emotions ...

Print ads are here to stay. That's right. Those dusty, musty,
fusty old relics of the century past are still with us. And
despite the ubiquity of commercials on radio and TV; despite the

A well-planned and properly executed marketing

scribbled notes, thoughts, ideas, and we are not sure where to

A good logo vs. a FABULOUS logo
If you had a choice, which one would you choose, a good logo or
a fabulous logo? Think about it for a second here, although I
know the answer is crystal clear. Because many of us settle for
a good logo created by a credible logo designer just because he
or she is a credible logo designer who charges low prices. For
example, I had a client who paid $500 for a normal-looking logo
which looked like something anyone else can come up with. A
couple of color changes to the logo, alteration of the ...

intentionally/unintentionally by us all.
1.Measurability: It is only a fool (am not trying to be
arrogant, neither am I one), that will embark on a project
without first measuring the cost. Before placing an Ad, ...

Change, or Reinforce?
Do you know about the distinction - and it's a useful one -
between communication that tries to reinforce and communication
that tries to get change?
If you follow politics you'll already be familiar with this
idea: Incumbents send messages that reinforce existing voter
behavior, while challengers call for changes.

communication is marketing communication) will be strongly
influenced by this distinction, which affects not only the

Nation Branding and Place Marketing - The Place
IV. The Place
Some countries are geographically disadvantaged. Recent studies
have demonstrated how being landlocked or having a tropical
climate carry a hefty price tag in terms of reduced economic
growth. These unfavorable circumstances can be described as
"natural discounts" to a country's price.
What can be done to overcome such negative factor endowments?
In classical microeconomics, the element of "place" in the
marketing plan used to refer to the locus of delivery of the

We English, a nation of (RSS) shopkeepers
/p>
We English are a nation of shopkeepers. Napoleon Bonaparte said
so.
As just such a shopkeeper, I have to say that I do love my work.
I get up early every morning to check how sales went overnight.
How many customers came in? What did they buy? Did they ask for
anything that I haven't got in stock? I then check the money
'take' to confirm what's selling well and what's not. My shop,
by the way, is a 'open all hours' Internet enterprise.
My next joys are to replenish the shelves of my shop ...

Does Your Advertising Make You the Obvious Choice to Do Business
There is a concept in business that we marketers call the
confidence gap. The confidence gap is defined as a potential
customers inability to determine whether the products or

than the competition's.
The confidence gap exists in every imaginable industry and in
most cases the gap is growing wider all of the time.
Case in point: go to the yellow pages and look under the roofing

PPC Definitions
Pay-Per-Click marketing has become an online phenomenon, with
marketers only paying for traffic they receive. As Internet
marketing has evolved, pay-per-click is seen by many as the
middle ground between paying per impression and paying per sale.
Advertisers only pay when they receive traffic that may or may
not be targeted.
The pay-per-click advertisements are usually displayed with the
advertisement from the highest paying bidder in the top
position.

Get your blood sugar down
There is good news for type 2 diabetics. The Indian herb Salacia
oblonga taken along with meals brings down the insulin and blood
sugar to normal levels. The positive aspect of this herb is that
alongwith controlling the blood sugar, it prevents the body from
gaining the unwanted weight, normally associated with type 2
diabetic patients.
Users have reported drop in blood sugar levels, increased energy

Why Using an Ad Blocker Can be a Bad Idea
Ad Blocking is getting to be a common sport on the internet. Now
there are some legitimate uses for an ad blocker. Some ad
companies resort to downright harassment when serving their ads
using annoying pop ups, flying ads, floating ads and the like.
Blocking these types of ads are not a problem. Using an ad
blocker though to block all ads on a site including text ads,

How Much Is A Great Business Logo Really Worth?
A great logo can help a business project a positive image while
a bad logo can bring a negative impression about a company. For
many companies, a logo is the only identifiable mark a potential

much is it really worth?
Cheap logo designs are all over the Internet - logo designs

Should I shop online or offline? A shoppers' guide.

I went shopping with my wife the other day, to a British city

moments, I compiled this rough guide for shoppers who are unsure
whether to shop online or offline in future.
I decided that shoppers SHOULD shop offline, at a nearby
shopping centre, if they:
* Enjoy getting up early, to drive through slow-moving traffic
and secure cheap parking places.
* Aren't too worried if their parked cars are scratched or
bumped anonymously whilst ...

7 Great Ways to Advertise Your Site
1. Make your classified ads stand out in a crowd. Use all
capital letters in the headline, divide letters with extra
spaces, add in text symbols, etc. For example, you could write,
"WIN a VACATION to Las Vegas!" Another example would be, "Win A
($) Trip To Las Vegas!"
2. Buy advertising space on discussion board web sites. They are
usually arranged by subject; that makes them highly targeted.
For example, if you are selling gardening tools, you would want
to advertise on gardening, farm, tool ...

Advertising that annoys
Critics conclude that entertaining or 'creative' commercials
sell better than those that are bland. But liking the commercial
may not really be that important in the scheme of things. It all
depends on the needs and preferences, motivation and financial
reservations of the customer. The question isn't whether people
like the advertisement or not, it's whether the advertisement is
effective in selling.
Often, people who are irritated by certain campaigns don't fall
within the intended target ...

Words To Avoid Using In Copywriting And Advertising
I could still recall the days of writing telegrams. That was

Today, with the advent of email and other cheap sources of

space allowed and so word choice becomes ...

Adwords PPC Management Tip No. 1 --------------------------------
Setting up an account
If you live outside of the US, different minimum bid prices hold

Let's take the UK for example - in the UK the minimum bid price

This means the cost of bids in the UK when currency is converted

How did you hear about us?
One of the best things you can do for your business is to ask
new customers how they found out about you. But when you do
this, don't expect to get accurate information.
I know this sounds strange, but it makes sense, I promise.
If you make decisions about how to promote your business, then
obviously you want to know how your customers find out about
your business. So, you ask. The trouble is the information you
get when you ask this questions is not always accurate. In fact
it's mostly ...

When you Only Have 3 Seconds to Catch a Customer's Eye...
You have 3 seconds to capture a consumer's attention at Point of
Sale. It's a fact that 70% of the consumer's purchasing
decisions are made in-store and that 50% of them are unplanned.
Your product can live or die on the sales floor. The visual
display (banner, poster or illuminated sign) you create for your
product is your ultimate sales tool. If your display doesn't
grab attention in a pleasing way, your product will be
overlooked in favour of others that do.
Big budget isn't essential. What ...

Make BIG MONEY on eBay - your unlimited cash cow
Let me be brutally honest; until recently, I had never bought
anything on eBay, I'd never sold anything on eBay, and,
dang-nab-it, I disdained auctions. (Bidding wars just weren't my
bag. I was a lover, not a fighter.) But one fine day, everything
was about to change.
So if you're searching for an honest, easy way to make
cash-in-a-flash and lots of it, then read on dear web-surfer.
My life as usual suddenly took a dramatic U-Turn the day my best
buddy seemed to be channeling a tenacious Tom ...

Classifieds That Get Results
Classified ads do not have the big market appeal that a full
color display ad has, but they are still one of the most
economical ways to get your business into the public eye. And,
because classifieds do not demand expensive eye-catching designs
or ingenious wording that you often see in direct-mail
campaigns, they are a perfect marketing avenue for even new
entrepreneurs. Here are some tips to help you write ads that
will make the difference between mediocre ads to great ads that

Internet and Education--One Mom's Perspective
What is all the hoopla about children needing to be exposed to
computers and the Internet? Let me share my experience.
My child isn't a genius. Most aptitude testing has revealed
that she is of average intelligence. But somehow this child has
managed to consistently score above the 90th percentile
nationally on the Iowa Test of Basic Skills'98th and 99th
percentile in math. And, on Georgia's sixth grade Criterion
Referenced Comprehension Test (CRCT) scored 450 out of 450 on

Four Cognitive Skills for Successful Learning
The word "cognition" is defined as "the act of knowing" or
"knowledge." Cognitive skills therefore refer to those skills
that make it possible for us to know.
It should be noted that there is nothing that any human being
knows, or can do, that he has not learned. This of course
excludes natural body functions, such as breathing, as well as
the reflexes, for example the involuntary closing of the eye
when an object approaches it. But apart from that a human being
knows nothing, or cannot do ...

Successful High-Tech Marketing on the Old-Fashioned Internet
When I first began doing business on the Internet in 1997, I
believed a widely circulating rumor that all one had to do to
become successful (and, wealthy) was to build a web site.
Well, after doing so and, repeatedly, making mistakes and
failing, I quickly became depressed with online marketing. Being
accustomed to accomplishing many, if not most, things I set out
to do (except 8th-Grade Algebra), I figured I had finally met my
match. I also figured that I must simply be the only person
online ...

Video Games - The Savior of Public Education
Four of every ten young-adult dropouts receive some government assistance. Dropouts are eight times more likely to be in jail, and half of all prison inmates are dropouts. (Milliken, 2008) Dropouts begin the dropping out process as early as fourth grade when it becomes quite apparent they cannot read well enough to keep pace with the curriculum. Or worse yet, when they can no longer handle the shame and embarrassment of special education.
These consequences translate into lost tax revenues ...

The De-Mystified Logos -- John 1 as it was meant to be read
i>The following has been excerpted from the original, which is

...John 1 and the word 'logos' has long been one of the most
hotly debated passages of the Bible, which also relates to the
currency most theologians grant it as a supposed proof text for
supposed essential doctrines like the deity of Christ,
trinitarianism, and related tenets. For this reason alone, the
passage is arguably of dubious value as a basic doctrinal proof
text, which is my first point. It ...

undergraduate classes taught skills which I knew already or
which came naturally to me; skills which were harder for me to
master I had mostly skipped over. And what huge gaps I still

Intellectual Capacity and the Young Child
The best thing parents can do to develop the intellectual
capacity of their children is to expose them to a variety of
learning experiences. Developing gross motor, fine motor,

helps develop what are called neural networks. A neural network
is simply a wiring of neurons. In the cortex of the brain there
are billions of these neurons and hence the potential for
children to develop more or less of these networks depending on
